“I don’t feel like I belong anywhere
except at The Center.”

Johnny, like the average 17 year old, hates school, hates his family, hates Cleveland and really hates homophobic jocks. When Friday night comes – Johnny always knows where he will be – The Center. At the Center, Johnny does art work, watches a movie or just hangs out with his friends. Johnny says, “I don’t feel like I belong anywhere – except at The Center.Learn more --->

Providing community health
& education
personally & professionally

Looking Forward Mental Health Center clinicians focus on the ever-growing needs of our senior community. The diverse group of clinicians are sensitive to the changing lifestyles and challenges of the elderly. The clinicians have proven their dedication to the senior population through the accumulated years of experiences in the workplace and their enthusiasm to volunteer at various Senior Centers.

We are also pleased that the clinicians are ODOT compliant through the SAP Certification Program. Our clinicians are happy to accommodate EAP programs and in addition all transportation organizations with their service for chemical dependency as well as any other mental health issues that may arise in the workplace. As of December 31, 2003 all ODOT governed organizations have to use the SAP Certified Chemical Dependent Counselors for Alcohol/Chemical Dependency Evaluations, and we are delighted that we can fulfill that need for you.

This organization is unique in the fact that it includes a very diverse group of clinicians, working under the umbrella of Looking Forward, who have a broad spectrum of clinical skills whom are working as a team for the betterment of the client. We are confident in areas of alternative lifestyle issues, gay marriages, bipolar, depression, testing, ADHD, PTS, chemical dependency, eating disorders, case management, and other mental health issues, we welcome new clients and inquiries.

If you, or someone you love would like more information on how Looking Forward Mental Health Center clinicians can contribute to recovery, please call us at 216-651-0234, or use our contact form for further information.

Looking Forward Mental Health Center offers individual and group therapy for those suffering from eating disorders, as well as supportive service to people suffering from long-term anorexia. When anorexia is combined with substance abuse, the chances for recovery without supportive services are remote. Looking Forward provides a structured environment with support services to compliment those offered by other professionals.

LGBT Community Center

Progress is being made. For the first time in years, Ohio is a blue state. We have more out LGBT officials and allies in higher positions of power than ever. But until equality is granted and protected - and even after that time - many LGBT young people will continue to feel this way:

"My parents are not supportive of gay people, and I know that coming out will be hard. I feel very alone, and have no one to turn to. I am considering suicide."

However, the work of the Center, fueled by your support, can change the life of any LGBT individual:

"My parents are not supportive of gay people, and I knew that coming out would be hard. I felt very alone, and thought that I had no one to turn to and that suicide was my only option. And then I found the Center. I got involved with the youth program where I received help with my studies and met others like me. Today I am the president of my college gay/straight alliance..."

We take pride in the fact that throughout our rich 31-year history we have helped thousands of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. I'm writing you today to ask for your support to help us continue this work well into the New Year. LEARN MORE ->
